Save the Date!Legislative Action CaucusFebruary 1-2, 2021 - Tallahassee, FLEducation Sessions will take place in the Carriage House at Goodwood Museum & Gardens LAC Update as of 12/1/2020Planning is in full swing for FSNA’s annual Legislative Action Caucus, set for Feb. 1-2, 2021. Due to the ever-changing pandemic, registration has been postponed until Jan. 11. FSNA staff and the Public Policy & Legislative (PP&L) Committee have been monitoring whether or not there will be public access to the Florida Capitol. It is unclear at this time whether the following will be possible: A. Member visits with legislators If restrictions prevent access to the Capitol, the educational portion of the Legislative Action Caucus will be converted to a virtual event for you to enjoy in the comfort and safety of your homes and offices. We have a fantastic speaker lineup this year, including Senators Bill Montford and Loranne Ausley, Executive Director of Feeding Florida, Robin Safley, and Dr. Ed Moore, Executive Director of the RESET Taskforce. No matter what happens, FSNA will be bringing you great content and a full legislative update. So save the date and plan to register on Jan. 11! We will continue to release updates as the PP&L Committee monitors the situation. Event Overview
The LAC program will once again be held at the beautiful Goodwood Museum & Gardens in Tallahassee. This year’s agenda will include riveting presentations from Florida’s insiders and agency leaders. Scheduled during Committee Weeks, the 44th FSNA LAC is your best opportunity to meet face-to-face with policymakers to increase their understanding of the complexity of school nutrition operations. Back again is the very successful School Breakfast at the Capitol. We will be serving up an authentic, delicious and nutritious school breakfast for Florida’s Legislators and their staff on the top floor of the Capitol. LAC attendees will be present to educate the visitors on the nutrient quality of food and the value of the breakfast program.
